The spirit of AD MAIORA:
AD MAIORA is a Latin phrase meaning: "Toward Greater Things".
AD MAIORA was born from my own need to find elegant, yet minimalist, high quality clothing and accessories. I believe that ones wardrobe can be classic, versatile and should endure for years; a sharp contrast to the inexpensive, poor quality, fast fashion market offerings we see too much of today.
The clothing I wore during my childhood in Switzerland was made of 100% natural materials and was of such high quality that my family was able to pass down items to my cousins and siblings, generation after generation. To this day, I still cherish one of my grandmother’s favorite cashmere sweaters, which is the key element that brought me the inspiration to create AD MAIORA. Seeing the pressuring climate change and the other environmental problems, going back to a long lasting, high quality, and natural material-made fashion culture not only is very important, it should also be the one and only option.
